Moans and screams subdued
The ashen skies once blue
To bid the bleeding earth adieu
Now that life, to death accrued

In the world of aimless soldiers
No battle is ever lost or won
For power, they play their bloody wars
Faded souls forgotten and forgone

Leave the living for once in peace
The peace you claim to kill us all
Go away! Our lands we’ll never leave
Let the children sing for life not woe

Hopes like flowers
Optimistic and pure
Litany to the One
Yearning his mercy
and blessings

Questioning existence
Unheeded answers
Riddles of life unsolved
Asinine raven hearts
Aspires unmet
Nothingness taints in.

You’re like a sneaking autumn

Expected, yet undetected

Casting complicated shadows

In September’s starlit nights

Blinding my darkened path

You’re always near, yet distant

Like the pale blue sky

Beyond the infinite horizon,

Along my lonely cusp,

Forever chased, never seized.

If they wonder who I was

Tell them to ask the lonely clouds

As they wander the world grieving

Weeping rain till evanescence

If they wonder who I was
Tell them to ask the lonely wind
As it wearily runs, suffocated
Chilling the dark alleys at night

If they wonder who I was
Tell them to ask the lonely seas
As the waves confront the combating rocks
And creep smoothly, watering the thirsty shores

If they wonder who I was
Tell them to ask the lonely moon
As it’s left abandoned in the sky, lighting
Like a candle in sinners hearts

If they wonder who I was
Tell them to visit not my lonely grave
As I’m not just a lying corpse
I’m the voice, reading those written words
